XX International Congress of Accounting and Auditing (CICA) 1. About CICA With over 40 years of history, CICA has established itself as a space for debate and meetings between the academic and professional worlds. This history began in December 1978, under the name of 'I Jornadas de Contabilidade', precisely at the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração de Aveiro (ISCAA), now (and since 2000) the Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração da Universidade de Aveiro (ISCA-UA). Over the years, CICA has positively contributed to the visibility and consolidation of the profession and the projection of scientific research in accounting and auditing at national and international levels. However, it is essential to emphasize that CICA is not just a scientific event, but also a time for cultural and social interaction that provides opportunities for collaboration and networking among the participants. CICA's theme for the 20th edition is 'Accountancy in a sustainable world'. |
